Here we are going to explain how our website will process your personal data.
The information provided only applies to the ROSELS website and does not concern any website that you may visit via external links.
We know, “legalese” can be hard to understand, so here we are going to give you a simple overview about some important concepts. We are going to answer 5 crucial questions about the processing of your personal data.
This information is provided in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the relevant Belgian data protection laws. If you are interested, they are:

What
What is a personal data?
The definition of personal data is very broad: it refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. You are identifiable if you can be identified directly (e.g. via your name) or indirectly (e.g., by reference to an identification number or to one or several specific physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social characteristics). For example, your e-mail can be considered personal data.
What does “processing” mean?
‘Processing’ means a lot of things! In a nutshell, it is any operation or set of operations performed upon personal data, with or without automated means. For example, there is a processing in case of collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction of personal data.
What kind of data can we process?

You can always request the erasure and blocking of any personal data that is processed in breach of the law. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
In addition, you have always the right to object, on legitimate grounds, to processing of the data.
