Philippe Chevalier got a PhD degree from MIT in 1992. He started his career as a faculty member of the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile. He then joined the Louvain School of Management of the Catholique university of Louvain in Belgium. He was the president of the CORE Center for Operations Research and Econometrics and the Louvain Institute of Data Analysis and Modelling in economics and statistics. His main research interests concern stochastic models for supply chain management. He published articles in several leading scientific journals such as Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operations Research or Management Science. In 2000, he founded N-SIDE a company developing optimization based decision aid tools for industry. N-SIDE is mainly active in the areas of Energy and Health care and is growing very fast.
